About

A Taoist pagoda built in 1909 by the city's Cantonese community, on Mai Thi Luu in Da Kao, District 1. Its dark wooden halls are full of incense smoke and carved figures of deities and the judges of hell, and there is a turtle pond in the courtyard. People come to pray for children at the shrine to the goddess Kim Hoa. Free to enter. Dress modestly.
